Peguins are birds which are not able to fly, breed in the Southern hemisphere. The name is originated from the Welsh which means white head. Chile is the home to a few species of penguin. When i was at Santiago, the capital of Chile, I didn't have a chance to peguins in the wild, i can only bring back the peguin souvenirs made from lapis lazuli, semiprecious stone with intense blue colour.
Fruits of Chile are pretty much the same with our Malaysia local fruits.

I visited the The Basilica de La Merced in Santiago. This church was built in 1566 but destroyed in the earthquakes in 1647 and 1730. The present two towered structure was completed in 1736.
According to the New York Times Travel, what is most striking about the church is the realization that all relics associated with Christ are not the exclusive patrimony of the Vatican. Here at the Basílica de la Merced, under a protective crystal dome next to a money collection box, is what is said to be a sliver of the actual cross.

Coming up next is something very locol - Empanada de Pino. It is a turnover filled with diced meat, onions, olive, raisins, and a piece of hard boiled egg, baked in oven. Empanada de Queso is the similar turnover, filled with cheese.

Cerro Santa Lucia is a beautiful city park with fountains, gardens and stairs leading up to the top. Cerro means hill is Spanish, so it is a small, 70 metres of height hill in the city centre of Santiago. It opens daily, no admission fee.
