English Vineyard, Surrey - Denbies Wine Estate


The tour started with the wine experience tour inside the winery building.

We view the surround sound and vision film in an auditorium; followed by a tour of the winery in a people mover (I called it a very slow roller coaster).

When we reached the cellars, a tour guide took us through a tasting of three wines… Lovely!!!


Seasonal vineyard train tour is not available from December to April. We were lucky enough as it was a good autumn; we paid £10.25 for an adult dual ticket that covered both internal and external tours.


Personally, I prefer the 45 minutes land train tour that took us on a round trip to the highest point in the vineyard with full commentary outlining the history of the Estate.

It was a real memorable tour to celebrate our 10 years of friendship.



Both Ah Guan & I ended the tour learning how to plug the grapes and eating lots of fresh grapes!!!

Quick information on how to get there:
20 minutes train journey from Guildford Station to Dorking Stations. This South West Train departs every 30 minutes and cost 6GBP for a return ticket. Denbies Wine Estate is 15 minutes walk from the Dorking Station. Complete address as below:
