Brussels & its landmarks

One of the must see in Brussels, capital of Belgium is Manneken Pis. Manneken Pis is a 53cm bronze statue of a naked little boy peeing into the fountain’s basin, with 400 years of history and several legends behind it.

And of cause, don’t miss out his girl friend – Jeanneke Pis!!!

Jeanneke Pis is half metre high of blue grey limestone dispicts a little girl with her hair in short pigtails, squatting and peeing.

Unlike Manneken Pis located at the junction hundred meters from Brussels Town Hall and Grand Place,
I found Jeanneke Pis on a narrow dead end street, hidden in the packed restaurent and pubs.

Next on the must see list in the Atomium, the momument with 9 steel spheres connected to form the shape of a unit cell of an iron crystal.
It was built in 1958 for the Brussels World’s Fair. After visiting the Atomium, I mada a move to check out the Heysel Park and Mini Euro Park which are just near by.
